The HPC Innovation Excellence Award recognized achievements by users of high performance computing (HPC) technologies.

Thomas Cahill, professor emeritus of physics and atmospheric sciences, died from complications of cancer on May 1, 2019. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, at St. James Catholic Church, 1275 B St., Davis, with a reception to follow in the church's Memorial Center.
