The Graduate Program Advising and Mentoring Awards recognize faculty providing outstanding service in advising and mentoring at the program level. Emilija was selected for her excellent service to our graduate program, as well as her positive impact on graduate students and colleagues.

Students wrote in her nomination letter that "She (Professor Pantic) exudes the qualities of an outstanding mentor and is an invaluable asset to the students in our program. She combines a deep sense of empathy with a steely commitment to student development. Her open-door policy and willingness to provide clear, compelling  explanations, even in challenging situations, have been much needed in my academic growth. Despite the challenges of certain circumstances, she always manages to convey in a manner that is constructive and encouraging, never dulling my  confidence or self-worth."
