Andrew Wetzel receives the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers

Screenshot 2025-01-30 085547.jpgOn January 14, the White House announced that President Biden named Professor Andrew Wetzel as one of nearly 400 recipients of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE). PECASE is the highest honor bestowed by the U.S. government on outstanding scientists and engineers early in their careers. Andrew is one of seven faculty at UC Davis honored with PECASE this year. A theoretical and computational astrophysicist, Andrew generates simulations to model the formation of cosmic structures, including galaxies, stars, and dark matter.
