Philip M. Yager, professor emeritus of physics, passed away March 1, 2020. He was 81.
Phil Yager earned a PhD in physics from the University of California, San Diego, in 1973. He joined the University of California, Davis, as an Assistant Professor of Physics in 1973 and pursued particle physics research over a long and fruitful career until his retirement in 2006. He is remembered fondly by colleagues for his wisdom and wit, and he will be sadly missed.
