Professor Emeritus John A. Jungerman passed away peacefully in his home March 28, 2014, at age 92.John was a major figure in the development of the physics program at UC Davis, and beloved member of our community.

The Nancy and John Jungerman graduate award in physics was established to honor the memory of Professor Jungerman and it provides additional resources that allow the Physics Department to recruit the very best physics graduate students to the program.
