Bio

Research Interests:

Dr. Cookmeyer is a condensed matter theorist studying strongly interacting electrons, the underlying physics of which continues to reveal new phases of matter and new platforms for future technological applications. She uses numerous semi-analytic and numeric many-body techniques to study a wide range of many-body phenomena: quantum spin liquids and magnets, quantum criticality, strange metals, moiré materials, and open quantum systems. Her work is grounded in cutting-edge material systems leading her to collaborate closely with experiments as well as advancing understanding of simplified theoretical models.
