Professor Fadley elected as an International Fellow of the Surface Science Society of Japan

Distinguished Professor of Physics Charles Fadley has been elected as an International Fellow of the Surface Science Society of Japan (SSSJ).

The SSSJ is an academic society with over 1700 members. 2015 is the first year the society has elected International Fellows. The first group of three includes Professor Fadley (UC Davis), Prof. Roland Wiesendanger (Univ. Hamburg, Germany), an expert in scanning tunneling microscopy., and Prof. Qi-Kun Xue (Tsinghua Univ., China), also a leader in scanning tunneling microscopy and other surface science techniques.
